Gérard Roucairol is currently Chief Scientist and member of the executive committee of Groupe Bull.

Prior to that, he held various positions in managing R&D, Software Business and Technology strategy.

Before joining Bull, he was professor at Paris-Sud University and head of the Computer Science Laboratory of this university.

Besides his activities in Bull, Gérard Roucairol was Chairman of the Réseau National de la recherche en Technologies Logicielles (RNTL), the French national inititative to support software R&D between industry and academy. He stepped down from this position when he became ITEA Vice-Chairman on 1 July 2005.
