Kees van Mourik studied Electrotechnical Engineering at Eindhoven University of Technology.

He started his career as an electronic designer at Yokogawa-Electrofact (market-leader in Europe in electrochemical measurement equipment).

Since then he has spent almost 25 years in R&D management, e.g. as Hardware Development Manager at Philips Data Systems and manager of High-End TV Development at Philips Consumer Electronics.

For five years he managed world-wide re-engineering and improvement in the Product Creation Process at Philips Consumer Electronics. He was then appointed to the BCU TV management team at Philips Consumer Electronics, and was Manager of the Product Strategy and Planning Office.

Since January 2002 Kees van Mourik is Office Director at ITEA.
